You will be lucky enough during Bhrigu Lake trekking as it offers you a chance of meandering through the Rohtang Pass, spotting the divine Bhrigu Lake and soaking in the beautiful springs of Vashisht. Detailed Itinerary for Bhrigu Lake Trek:
Day 01: Arrive in Manali (2050m)
Orientation Session, Acclimatization Walk
Arrive in Manali on your own and report at the base camp near Old Manali. After resting for a while, go out for an acclimatization walk and explore the bustling alleyways of Manali. Manali is a popular destination for adventure travelers so there are several shops where you can buy/rent trekking gear/equipment. Later, you will be briefed by the trek leaders during the orientation session. Stay overnight at the campsite.
Day 02: Manali - Kulang - Moridogu
Distance/Duration - 45 Minute Drive, 4-5 Hours Trek
Grade - Moderate
Today, you will start this Himalayan expedition. After getting breakfast, you will drive to Kulang, which is the starting point of the trek. After reaching, you will begin the nature hike, passing through beautiful pathways overlooking gigantic mountains. You will get enticing views that might lure you to click dozens of pictures. Don’t forget to carry your camera for the Instagram feed. On reaching Moridogu, you can rest in your allotted camp. Later, you will be served with a delicious dinner. Post dinner, you can choose to sleep or enjoy the night with campers. Stay overnight.
Day 03: Moridogu - Bhrigu Lake (4300m) - Moridogu
Distance/Duration - 4 km/3-4 Hours
Grade - Moderate
A soon as the sun peeps out, you will start the day early. Post breakfast, the trekking towards Bhrigu Lake will begin. The duration is approx. 3 hours and on the way you will take a halt to savor the packed lunch by the lake side. Please follow leave to trace policy, as keeping the environment pristine is one of our principles. After trekking for a while, you will reach the Bhrigu lake. As per the ancient text, Rishi Bhrigu meditated here and used to take bath in the holy water. After spending some time here, we will descend to Moridogu campsite and relax for the rest of the day.
Day 04: Moridogu - Kulang - Manali
Distance/Duration - 3 Hours Trek, 45 Minute Drive
Grade - Easy
You will start the last day trek with a descent to Kulang. The trek is easy as it has a moderate descent throughout and will take around 3 hours to complete. On reaching, you will take a ride to Manali and then depart from Manali bus stand.
