I've been fishing since when I was five years old! Growing up on a farm in West Bengal which had tanks and ponds, sparked my interest in nature and specifically in angling. And as a young boy, reading the likes of Corbett and Hemingway - and also Bengali literature, which had stories of fish - got me even more hooked. I usually fish as often as I can - I've been doing it for over 45 years! In the next couple of years I hope to explore some remote locations in the Subcontinent, and also plan on going on fishing trips to Sri Lanka, South America and the east coast of Africa. I prefer fishing in remote spots, where one can catch wild fish. I get a great adrenaline rush fishing for the Mahseer - amongst freshwater fishes - and angling for the Giant Trevally out at sea .
