Camp Wild Dhauj is one of the best places in India to enjoy adventure-related activities. The establishment is located in a valley of the Aravalli Mountains, which are the oldest such topographical feature in India. This roughly 12-acre property offers all sorts of high-thrill activities, which has made it the scene of numerous reality shows making it a popular site for camping near Delhi. Accommodation here is offered in 15 Deluxe Eco Lodges, 15 Safari tents and alpine tents with sleeping bags. The lodges have been built using iron, steel, fly ash bricks, stones, fire bricks and glass. Ethnic artwork by members of the local communities gives them a warm decor. You also have the privilege to bring your own tents and set up inside the premises.
The large dining hall serves vegetarian and non-vegetarian buffets, while the open area next to it has tandoori and barbecued delights on offer. You could organise a variety of official and promotional functions at the site. Its conference room is well-equipped with microphones, LCD projectors, screens, marker pens, flip charts and audio systems. There are 3 spacious lawns here where functions can be organised or outdoor sports like cricket, volleyball and football can be played. The highlight of Camp Wild Dhauj is perhaps its own forest of kikar trees, where adventure activities are organised. Rappelling, wall climbing, rock climbing, flying fox, hiking through the hills, Burma Bridge, commando net, tarzan swing, monkey crawling and balance walking are made available here for you to do.
For all you hardcore adventure lovers, Camp Wild Dhauj has facilities for paint-ball, mountain biking, ATV rides and zorbing. You could sharpen your brains by building rafts, enjoy a wonderful camel safari or trek to a nearby pond, dubbed the Hidden Lake. Large groups can undertake outbound training programmes, provided by experts, to strengthen teamwork and develop mutual trust and self-confidence. Approach:
The property is perfect for people who wish to go for camping near Delhi as it is located just about 33 km from the city.
From Gurgaon
Cross the toll plaza of Gurgaon and 3 km ahead on the road, turn right at Manger Police Chowki and drive along Faridabad State Highway. After about 3 km, the road will descend towards Manger village that will ultimately lead you to the barrage in the village of Dhauj. The camp is located just beyond the barrage.
From Faridabad
Follow Sohna Road out of Faridabad and make payment at the toll plaza. Just ahead of the plaza, you will see Dhauj police chowki, from where you are required to turn right. Take another right after about 1 km and then cross the farmhouse, belonging to Shahnaz Husain. After a while, you will reach Selakhari village. Keep driving on the road and take the last left turn to reach the campsite.
Check-in and Check-out Times:
The check-in at Camp Wild Dhauj is at 9:00 am while the check-out time is 6:00 pm. Special Instructions: For this camp, carry t-shirts, caps, track pants and shoes, which have rubber soles.
