Detailed Itinerary:
Day 01: Chennai
Arrive at Chennai via flight or train and check-in to the hotel. Go for a city tour and visit important landmarks like the Kalpeshwara Temple, Crocodile Bank, Ramakrishna Temple and Queens Lands. Return to the hotel in the evening for overnight stay.
Day 02: Kanchipuram & Mahabalipuram
Leave for a day excursion to Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram (approximately 60 - 70 kms) and spend the day exploring historical relics of these towns. Return to the hotel in Chennai in the evening for overnight stay.
Day 03: Pondicherry
Have your breakfast and check-out from the hotel to head to Pondicherry which is around 137 kms (4 hrs). Later that day check-in to the hotel. Post that head out for a sightseeing trip of the city and visit places like Arikemedu, The Statue of Dupleix etc. Spend the evening relaxing at Pondicherry beach and later return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 04: Pondicherry
Leave for a city tour after breakfast and visit the Pondicherry Museum, Botanical Garden and Aquarium, French war monument, Park Monument etc. Spend the evening exploring the local markets and shopping. Return to the hotel in the evening for overnight stay.
Day 05: Return
Check out from the hotel after breakfast and leave for Chennai (137 kms) to catch your train/flight for the return journey home.
