Whether you are a traveler looking for a peaceful break, or an adventurer wanting to push the limits, this is the place to be.

From the laidback life of the town of Leh, where you visit monasteries and palaces, to the high passes that make for the highest motor-able roads in the world, each and every moment spent here outdoes all the other travel experiences you might have had. Nubra valley offers a great camping experience and Deskit is the place where you can enjoy riding the double humped camels.

The most picturesque place that you will visit in this 6 days Ladakh trip is beyond doubt, the Pangong Lake. With its blue water and color-changing mountains forming the backdrop, this lake would take your breath away from the word go, and every moment that you spend here, would further deepen the magical affect this place has on you.

DETAILED ITINERARY:

DAY 01: Arrive in Leh
Arriving at Leh Kushok Bakula Airport is one of the most sensational flying experiences in the World. If sky is clear, from one side of the aircraft can be seen in the distance the peaks of K2, Nanga Parbat, and Gasherbrum and on the other side Nun Kung Massif is visible. Upon arrival our representative greets you and you are taken to the hotel for check in. We give you the day for acclimatization and the second half of the day is spent paying visiting to popular spots like the Leh palace, Shanti Stupa and also the local market. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 02: Excursion to Monasteries (50 kms, 2 hours one way)
Post Breakfast we proceed to Indus Valley Monastery tour starting with Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. Enjoy a photo-op on the Indus River bank. Later head out to Thiksey Monastery, which is an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village and Shey Palace, the ancient capital of Ladakh. You will also be visiting the 3 Idiots Rancho School & Sindhu Ghat. Return to late in the evening and spend the day at leisure. Come back to hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 03: Excursion to Pangong Lake – 14,000 feet (140 kms, 4-5 hours one way)
After an early breakfast we leave for Pangong Lake through Chang La at 17590 feet. Stop at Chang La for a quick photo session and drive down to a village called Tangtse, where you can enjoy a hot cuppa tea. Passing by several small villages of Chang La, you will suddenly get the first glimpse of the blue Pangong Lake which is situated at 14,000 feet. This famous brackish Lake of Pangong is 6 Kms wide and over 133 Kms long with two third of it falling on the other side of the Indo-China Border. One rarely feels so close to nature as one would around this lake. We return back to Leh after spending some quality time at the lake and spend the night at the hotel in Leh.

DAY 04: Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardung La – 18,390 feet (120 kms, 4 -5 hours)
Post breakfast we leave early for Nubra valley. The journey to Nubra via Khardhung La, which is the highest motor-able road in the world at 18390 ft, is one of the most thrilling experiences one can have. Stop a while at the pass as you enjoy a panoramic view of the Indus valley and endless peaks and ridgelines of the Zanskar range. Upon arrival at Nubra valley check in to the camp. In the evening take a walk around the local villages to get to know the local life and culture. Enjoy star gazing at night as you spend overnight at the camp.

DAY 05: Nubra Valley – Leh (120 kms, 4 -5 hours)
After an early breakfast, leave for Hunder where you get an opportunity to enjoy a ride on double humped Bactrian camel in the sand dunes. The double humped camels are the last legacy left by the central Asian caravan traders. The landscape between Deskit and Hunder is stunning as you will witness snowcapped mountains on one side of the road and sand dunes on the other. On your return journey to Leh, stop at Deskit Monastery which is more than 500 years old Buddhist monastery perched on a hilltop facing the entire valley.
On arrival at Leh you will check in to your Hotel. In the evening you can stroll around the market place for some last minute souvenir shopping.

DAY 06: Depart Leh (Fly Out)
Today as the tour comes to an end, you will be transferred to the domestic airport for your return flight back home with memories to be cherished forever.
