Sikkim is undoubtedly one of the most dazzlingly gorgeous and geographically diverse places in India. It is a landlocked state, picturesquely nestled between Nepal, Tibet, West Bengal and Bhutan. Eastern Himalayas that pass through Sikkim make it home to the 3rd highest mountain peak in the world – the mighty Kanchenjunga! DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 01: BAGDOGRA AIRPORT – GANGTOK (5,500 ft, 130 Kms, 4 - 5 Hours)
We arrive at Bagdogra Airport by 2 PM and leave for Gangtok. The route we take is actually a river route that has been carved by the River Teesta. We reach our destination and check in to the hotel and take rest. If you are up for it, you can step out with your trip-mates and go to MG road, which is the most popular area in the town and also a great place for shopping. Overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.

DAY 02: GANGTOK - TSHANGU LAKE (12,400 ft, 43 Kms, 3 Hours)
This day marks the beginning of an unforgettable adventure. We have our breakfast and leave the hotel to witness the untouched beauty of Sikkim, passing through hills and crossing gushing streams. Our destination for the day is Tshangu Lake, a sight so pristine and serene that it will take your breath away. The drive to Tshangu Lake in itself is an out of this world experience. There’s not a single moment you would want to miss!
OPTIONAL TOURS - BABA MANDIR (13,100 ft, 16Kms, 1 hour one way from Tshangu Lake) and NATHULA PASS (15,150 ft/ 20 Kms, 1 hour one way from Tshangu Lake).

DAY 03: GANGTOK – LACHUNG (8,000 ft, 124 Kms, 5 - 6 Hours)
Our day starts early as we get set to visit the quaint hamlet Lachung. We carry our breakfast with us and even though the roads aren’t in the best of conditions, the heavenly views more than make up for them. We reach our hotel in Lachung in the afternoon. Lachung is situated in the Yumthang Valley and once here, you would lose yourself in the refreshing surroundings. From effervescent streams to waterfalls and lush valley, this place surely looks right out of a fairytale!
Places to visit here are Tashi view point that makes for a perfect vantage point to capture the magnanimity of the Kanchenjunga, Seven sister’s waterfall, Singhik view point and Kabi Longstock. We have lunch on the way and return to the hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 04: LACHUNG - YUMTHANG – LACHUNG (25 Kms, 1.5 Hours one way)
On this day, we take you to Sikkim’s Valley of Flowers, called the Yumthang Valley. At 11,800 feet and with the Rhododendrons and other wild Himalayan flowers, Yumthang is above the tree line! Prepared to be enthralled by different hues of pink and red as we visit the Singba Rhododendrons Sanctuary! The sweet fragrance while walking on the river side is therapeutic. It’s also a great place to capture some great memories in your camera.
OPTIONAL TOUR - YUMESAMDONG (15,300 ft, 24Kms, 1.5 - 2 hours from Yumthang, one way. Requires entry permits). Also known as Zero point.

DAY 05: LACHUNG - GANGTOK   (124 Kms, 5 – 6 hours)
Post breakfast, we head back to Gangtok. Check in to the hotel, freshen up and then head out to explore the city once again. One of the sites we visit is the 17th century Rumtek Monastery. The evening is spent taking in the beauty of the surroundings and walking up and down the beautiful paths, marveling at the grandiose of the mountains around.

DAY 06: GANGTOK – BAGDOGRA
We have out breakfast and leave for Bagdogra Airport to catch the return flight back home. For everyone’s convenience, please book your flights after 2 PM.
