Itinerary:
Set out for the Jaisalmer overnight safari with stay by leaving the city at around two in the afternoon. On the way to the campsite, visit some of the major tourist attractions of the region. Begin with Bada Bagh, the royal cemetery with more than a hundred cenotaphs. These tombs were constructed over many years to serve as memorials to the courageous rulers of Rajasthan. This garden complex also houses a tank and a dam within its boundaries. Examples of the impressive craftsmanship, prevalent in the region, these structures make amazing photography settings.
Post a memorable visit to Bada Bagh, head to the next destination, which is a renowned temple. Named Adeshwar Nath Jain Temple, this religious site is noteworthy because of the ornate carvings adorning its surfaces. Another highlight of the temple is that it is located on the shores of the idyllic Amar Sagar Lake. Spend some moments of solace and discover spirituality at this holy place, and later proceed towards the next attraction, Kuldhara village.
One of the most frequented spots in the Thar region, Kuldhara owes its popularity to the stories of it being haunted and cursed. Abandoned since the 1800s, the village now lies in ruins. Notwithstanding the common belief that the village is haunted, travellers visit it to explore its remains. Whatever is left of the bygone eras, tells the story of the meticulous planning, with which the village was built.
The last leg of the Jaisalmer overnight safari with stay will lead you to the village of Barna. Considering the fact that any trip to the Thar Desert is not complete without a camel ride, you will go on one. Ride through the expansive desert till sunset, and later transfer to the camp. Here, enjoy a delightful vegetarian dinner and an entertaining dance and music programme. Your stay will be convenient as Swiss tent accommodation, which comes with an attached bath, will be provided. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in the village of Barna.
