The venture takes you to some of the most incredible and awe-inspiring attractions of Ladakh. Begin the experience straight after arrival in the region by seeing some wonderful monuments of Leh. Built during the reign of King Sengge Namgyal, Leh Palace was once home to the royal family of Ladakh. A visit to Thiksey Monastery and Stok Palace is also offered on the venture. Amazing collections of Buddhist artefacts that include statues, thangkas, seals and coins can be seen and admired at these locations. Also known as Ldumra, Nubra Valley will be your destination on the third day of the tour. Passing through Khardung La, one of the highest motorable roads in the world, appreciate the beauty of the Indus River and the snow-capped peaks of the Zanskar Range.

Ride on the backs of Bactrian camels in and around Hunder village. At a drive of about 15 km from here is a town, called Diskit. In February, sacred mask dances, part of the festival of Dosmoche, are organised at Diskit gompa. Shey and Stok palaces are also on the list of attractions that you visit on the excursion.

About 16 km from the city of Leh, the gompa has a vast collection of articles of Buddhist art including thangkas, statues, and wall paintings, along with numerous stupas.

The next stop on the trip is the 14th century Stok Palace – founded by Lama Lhawang. See 108 volumes of the teachings of Lord Buddha, kept in the library of the establishment. A new temple, constructed inside the complex and dedicated to Avalokitesvara, is another major attraction for visitors. There is also a museum here that has a fine collection of regional artworks, coins and seals.
