Sailing is a relaxed activity and it has been around for many centuries. In fact one could say that sailing is as old as civilization itself. Sea was once the primary way to commute for commerce, transport and also exploration.
Today Sailing is an extremely popular soft adventure and it is enjoyed in many parts of the world. It is all about guiding or handling a sea-borne craft with the help of a sail. With our Discover Sailing in Goa package, you can be a part of this thrilling and mesmerizing activity, and sail on the Arabian Sea. Goa is one of the most popular holiday destinations in India and offers a variety of soft adventure activities for all age groups. Sailing as an activity is gaining widespread popularity in Goa and Mumbai. In Goa it starts from Grand Hyatt Hotel in Bambolim, in North Goa district.
SAILING LOCATION IN GOA
We operate from the Grand Hyatt Goa, at Bambolim Beach in the North Goa district.
MONTHS OF SAILING
The months of operation are from October to May and we are closed from June to September due to Monsoon.
IDEAL TIME TO SAIL
Due to suitable wind conditions, we take you sailing in the afternoon. Afternoon to sunset sailing gives a great experience. These timings are also dependent on tides and waves. We recommend taking to open waters only after 10:30 AM
Mumbai – 48 persons and 75 persons with additional boats at one time.
Mandwa – 75 persons at one time and 125 persons for a full day program.
Goa – 150 persons at one time and 300-400 persons in all in batches.

Beach Boats - Kayaks, windsurfers, kite-surfers, beach dinghies
Sailing Yachts/ Sailing Catamarans/ Powerboats - Boats ranging from 25 feet to 40 feet, sporty to luxurious and fast cruisers.
OUR INSTRUCTORS/ TEAM
We have a team of highly skilled, experienced and professional instructors of mixed nationalities, who are certified in sailing and have sailed in international waters. These are the people who have been doing this for years and are passionate about introducing more and more people to this joyful activity. The team is also trained in first aid and rescue.
WHAT IF I AM NOT A GOOD SWIMMER
Being a swimmer does not come as an added advantage while sailing. We provide you with life jackets and it is mandatory for you to wear it at all times while sailing.
SAFETY ON WATER
We are equipped with all that you need for a relaxed, enjoyable and SAFE sailing experience. From life jackets to buoyancy aids and rescue boats, we have it all. We have doctors on call and the team is first aid trained.
DO I NEED TO HAVE SAILED BEFORE
You do not require a prior sailing experience. Our instructors would love to have the opportunity to acquaint you to this fun activity.
Sailing is not a physically demanding activity so a basic level of fitness is what is required. People of all age groups have experienced sailing with us. We do expect you to inform us about any medical conditions, ailments or allergies that might prove to be a hindrance or a cause for concern.
People from different age groups, from senior citizens to toddlers have sailed with us. We might recommend different programs for different age groups. For instance, dinghy sailing can be started from the age of 7.
FOOD AND DRINKS ON-BOARD
During short sails, you will not have a lot of time to eat while on-board as you will be fully engaged in the activity. Drinking water, however, is provided on all the boats.
During beach fiestas and longer programs, meals etc are mostly a part of the program.
We recommend keeping yourself well hydrated during sailing.
WHAT TO WEAR FOR HARBOUR SAILING AND BEACH SAILING
The harbor sailing experience usually does not involve getting wet, except for occasional water spray or wave splash. If this is not something that concerns you, then you need not carry a change of clothes.
Beach sailing will leave you soaked so bring one full change of clothes or two, including small clothes. Remember to carry a towel and personal toiletries.
As sailing is a relaxed activity, we recommend wearing comfortable clothes and allow ease of movement. Cotton shorts, capris paired with T-shirts would make for a good option. For beach sailing you could opt for a swimwear. Wear footwear that is light and comfortable. No heels please!
Glasses - If you wear glasses make sure you have a retainer (provided on-board)
Sunglasses – Remember to carry sunglasses and a cap for protection; use retainers for the sunglasses (provided on-board)
Sunscreen - Carry and use sunscreen (we also provide the same on the sail)
Medication - Please carry your personal medication if required
WHAT NOT TO BRING
Although we provide basic storage facility, we advise not bringing anything extra. You can carry your mobile phones, cameras etc. but no valuables. We have secure storage spaces at all our centers, and you can keep your valuables there.
Smoking or consumption of alcohol is prohibited on-board any of our boats and at the centers.
DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS AND OTHER SAFETY ASPECTS
You are required to fill indemnity and medical forms prior to sailing. All our centers are audited independently and all safety requirements are met with.
We have tie-ups with ambulance service and hospitals, and we have doctors on call at all our locations. In addition to this, our operations team is first aid trained and certified. We adhere to all the international safety standards.
Our boats as well as equipment are fully insured and our guests are also covered by a third party insurance while undertaking any of our programs.
