White salt desert speckled with an array of colors, distinctive shades of tradition and culture, a plethora of festivities all around! Days are filled with a display of bright shades and designs in the form of the beautiful costumes the locals wear, from the women dressed in the most gorgeous of lehangas and arms adorned with silver bangles to turbaned men in either loin cloths or short skirts, this is a sight that will find a place in your heart and rest there forever.
Evenings bring a multitude of colors as the sun sets followed by a star-lit sky, the stuff that dreams are made of! The heart melting notes of the Surando make the experience mystical.
Put all these together and what you get is the Rann Utsav. The very picture of grandiose set against the backdrop of the mesmerizing beauty of Kutch. The full moon night brings with it a never ending magic of traditional dancing and music along with art and craft celebrations. There is no better time to visit this great white salt desert, than the Rann Utsav.
This festival is organized by the Gujarat Tourism and it travels to different places, introducing the world to the singularity of this region through various art forms. More than 12,000 tourists from all over the world were a part of the Rann Utsav last year who took away memories of a lifetime with them.
Rann Utsav will begin on the 1st of December, 2014 and conclude on 7th March 2015.
There are daily check ins and check outs. Kindly provide us with your preferred dates for travel at the earliest to ensure availability of tents as there is a heavy booking flow.
Detailed Itinerary:
Check in time: 12:30 PM
Distance – Bhuj – Tent City Dhordo – 85 kms (Approx. 1 hour 45 minutes of travel). Refreshments provided on-route in the coach.
Fixed transfer timings from Bhuj to Tent City Dhordo via AC Coach:
08.15 AM From Bhuj train station
10.30 AM From Bhuj train station /Bhuj Airport
02.30 PM From Bhuj train station
03.30 PM From Bhuj train station
Individual transfers will be done on chargeable basis. There will be no transfers outside of the above mentioned timings. For guests arriving before check in time, tent allotment will be subject to availability.

10:00 AM onwards: Arrival at Dhordo
12:30 PM onwards: Welcome and check in

5:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Transfer* to White Rann to witness the majestic sunset
7:00 PM – 7:30 PM: Return to tent city Dhordo

8:30 PM – 10:30 PM: Soak in the culture of Kutch with some mesmerizing and entertaining activities
*Transfers can either be through camel carts or bus on first come first serve basis. Guests to return by the same mode of transfer.

3).Complimentary Refreshment in bus. All transfers shall be in AC coaches On S.I.C. basis.
4).1 Night 2 Day package includes Lunch , Evening Tea & Dinner on 1st day and Morning Tea & Breakfast on 2nd day . The Meals will be served on scheduled time in respective dining area and missed meals will not be refunded or extended on 2nd day .
5).Visit to White Rann on day 1 and visit to Kala Dungar on day 2 . These tour cannot be interchanged. Those guests who missed the visit as per scheduled package may be included on request on chargeable basis .
6).Accommodation in Tent on twin sharing basis .
7).Two bottles of drinking water per day per tent .
