During the last decade, there has been a significant increase in people, showing interest in water activities and sports. Out of all such activities, scuba diving has become a favourite among tourists and sports enthusiasts alike. This is because it is a thrilling and fun-filled activity at the same time. It gives the diver an opportunity to discover the mysterious underwater life and feel like marine animals for a while. PADI dive course Bali teaches you all the skills and knowledge, required for this activity. It does not matter if you are a complete amateur or have a little knowledge of the sport. The course will brush up your skills and make you feel more comfortable in the water.
Scuba diving includes the use of a Self-contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus (SCUBA). This enhances the underwater endurance and allows greater freedom of movement. Apart from the breathing apparatus, there is other equipment like fins, used by participants. The fins help you to swim and navigate easily in the water. The diving masks, part of the scuba gear, allow a clearer vision of the marine life or shipwrecks during an underwater expedition.
Scuba diving can be performed for professional as well as recreational purposes. The purpose of recreational diving is enjoyment, and it has a number of disciplines to further increase the interest. These disciplines are wreck diving, cave diving, ice diving and deep diving. The depth and duration of a dive depend on the purpose of the activity. Most recreational dives take you to a depth of around 30 metres or less. Wreck diving includes exploring the wreck of a ship, whereas cave diving focuses on discovering underwater caverns. Deep diving and ice diving are comparatively more challenging and require greater skills.

The Course
The PADI Open Water Dive Course Bali will help you build your scuba skills, so you can become more comfortable in the sea. During the course, you will be taught a variety of new skills that are challenging, yet exciting. Before you take the course, you are expected to do some independent study. This can be done through e-learning or reading the manuals available here in Bali. The duration of the course is two days, during which there will be five dives. Out of these, two are compulsory, and the rest can be chosen from numerous options.
During the PADI Underwater Navigator Dive, you will be taught the skills used for navigating in the water. This is a crucial lesson as it will help you find your way and direction, and prevent you from losing contact with other divers. This will also teach you to use the compass while taking turns, estimate distance and how to relocate a submerged object or location from the surface. If depth fascinates you, but you do not have enough skills to delve deeper, then the PADI Deep Diver Dive will come to your rescue. During it, you will learn how to use specialised deep diving equipment, as well as buddy contact procedures, deep dive planning and buoyancy control.
Upon the successful completion of all five dives, the instructor will go through your logbooks and issue the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certificate.
