Through the duration of this six day PADI Open Water Dive course, not only will you get to experience a world new world underwater but also you will be a certified scuba diver. This certification will allow you to dive up to a depth of 18 m anywhere in the world!

 

Are you getting excited yet? Though there are a plethora of Scuba Diving Course in India, our course offers a one of a kind experience. Located in the beautiful Andaman Islands with its clear water and great diversity in marine life, our course takes course of ALL logistics (including instruction, equipment, transfers, accommodation and meals) from your arrival in Port Blair to you departure from Port Blair. All you have to do is show up, learn and have a fantastic time. 

 

ITINERARY

 

Day 1: Arrival at airport. 
As soon as your flight lands at the airport, grab your luggage and look for a representative from the course. We'll then drive you over to the dock to board the ferry to Havelock. (Please ensure that your flight is scheduled to land before 12 pm so that you can make it to the ferry). It will take you around 1.5 hours to reach Havelock. Take your cameras out, the ride is going to be scenic.

You will check in to the Barefoot Scuba Resort, where you will settle your luggage and get ready to meet our instructors. You will be given a briefing and introduction of the course. Enjoy the relaxing sounds of the ocean while you familiarize yourself with the theory part of this course post dinner.

 

Day 2: Havelock – Knowledge Development
Today enjoy a delicious breakfast before leaving for the dive center. Spend time understanding and learning the basics of diving by instructors in a classroom setting. Post the theory class, head back to the resort and enjoy a late lunch. Go through the study material to understand the remaining theoretical lessons. Thereafter, spend the rest of your day enjoying the natural beauty of  Havelock Island which is known for its stunning beaches and  jungles. Later, come back to the resort and enjoy a relaxed evening.

 

Day 3: PADI Open Water Course: A series of confined water dives
Following breakfast, proceed towards the training center. Today, your practical training will begin, make sure you carry your swim gear! In your first underwater session under the guidance of seasoned professionals you will understand the basics of:

  • How to get water out of your mask.
  • Entering and exiting the water.
  • Buoyancy control.
  • Basic underwater navigation.
  • Safety procedures.

You'll practice these skills with an instructor until you're comfortable with them. You'll now be ready for your underwater adventure to begin at an open water dive site the following day! Post the confined water dive session learn how to set up your scuba gear and head back to the dive resort for a relaxed evening. 

 

Day 4: PADI open water course: Two Open water dives
Today you will be completing two open water dives. Let the instructors guide and bring out the best in you. You will dive up till a depth of 18 m, where you will get to observe the vibrant and colourful marine life. Enjoy the sessions after which you can head back to the resort. Throughout the training you will be supervised by a PADI certified instructor.  

 

Day 5: PADI open water course: Two Open water dives
Wake up to a beautiful morning! Get ready for your 3rd and 4th dive. After breakfast, you will head out for the two dives. Listen to your instructors carefully. After the session your instructors will give you an Open Water Certification – your passport to the underwater world. Spend the evening enjoying time at the beach, then head back to the resort to relax and chill. 

 

Day 6: Enjoy the day with either Stand up paddling, sea-kayaking or biking! 
Due to the fact that one cannot dive 24 hours before a flight, you will not be diving today. Instead, you will have the opportunity to try your hand at some other adventure activities such as stand-up paddling, sea-kayaking and biking. Enjoy the day exploring Havelock Island above water. Spend your last evening celebrating the successful completion of your course. 

 

Day 7: Departure from Havelock to Port Blair
Today, after breakfast, you will say goodbye to the beautiful Andaman Islands. We will accompany you to take a ferry to Havelock and transfer you to the  airport in order for you to board you flight back home.

  6. Personal expenses such as alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, telephone calls, tips & gratuities, laundry etc.
  7. Any exigency expenses caused by or liability for disturbance in trip programme due to circumstances beyond our normal control such as airline delays/ cancellation, road blocks, vehicle malfunctions, weather conditions, sickness, natural disasters, riots etc.
