Goa is probably one of the most popular travel destinations in India that sees thousands of tourists from around the world visiting every year. While most people travel to Goa in the winter months to enjoy the perfect sun, sand and sea combination, there is more to Goa that can be explored in the monsoon as well. Goa is home to some of the tallest waterfalls in India like Dudhsagar and Hivre that during the monsoon season are fed by rains and in full glory. We offer you a one of its kind adventure where you trek to these waterfalls over a period of 3 days.
On day one you arrive in Goa and go to this resort in North Goa and visit the very popular Tambdi Surla Temple and on day two and three you go trekking to Dudhsagar and Hivre Waterfalls in Goa.
This will be a great adventurous experience for you to indulge in and would give you a different perspective on Goa.
ITINERARY:
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN GOA AND VISIT TO TAMBDI SURLA TEMPLE
Post your arrival in Goa, drive to Nature’s Nest on your own. Check in to the hotel and take rest for a while. Later during the day drive to a small village called Tambdi Surla where in you visit a 15th century old temple of Lord Shiva. From the temple premise, you start your days trek to the waterfalls. You will be assisted by our forest guide who enlightens you along the trail with the knowledge of the history of the waterfall, its flora and fauna. Once you reach the waterfall, spend some time taking a dip in the chilled waterfalls, enjoy some photo sessions under the falls. Later return back to the village from where your vehicle will drive you back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2: TREK TO DUDHSAGAR WATERFALL
Today post an early breakfast get ready for a full day trek to Dudhsagar Waterfall in Bhagwan Mahavir National Park. Dudhsagar Waterfall is supposedly one of the biggest waterfalls in India. A part of the journey to the waterfalls is covered by train and then followed by a railway track route for hiking through the Bhagan Mahavir National Park. The entire stretch is a bird watchers delight as the trail is resplendent with various indigenous birds and butterflies. Return to the hotel in the evening for an overnight stay.
DAY 3: TREK TO HIVRE WATERFALL
Today early morning you are set to explore another amazing waterfall in the village of Valpoi known as Hivre waterfalls. The trail you hike will be through lush green forest and it will be quite thrilling to cross various small rivulets and water streams enroute to the waterfalls. Later return back to the hotel and check out to proceed towards your next destination.
