ITINERARY
Day 1 : Reach Guwahati and Transfer to Shillong via Umiam Lake.
Meet upon arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station. After the initial introduction, we travel to Shillong which is famously known as the Scotland of the East and is at an altitude of 4908 feet above sea level. En route, stop at Umiam Lake for a serene boat ride or simply relax by the water. Explore the cultural treasures of the Don Bosco Museum, take a peaceful stroll around Ward's Lake, and enjoy the landscaped gardens. Unwind at Lady Hydari Park, which features beautiful gardens and a mini-zoo. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 2 : Shillong to Cherrapunji via Laitlum
Post breakfast the group will head towards Cherrapunji (4,400 ft.), one of the world's wettest place. Explore the Air Force Museum, Elephant Falls, Garden of Caves, Wah-Kaba Falls, Mawkdok Dympep Valley View Point, and Laitlum Canyons. Overnight stay at Cherrapunji.
Day 3 : Trek to Double Decker Bridge
Post breakfast, the group will go for a hike to one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites – Double Decker Living Roots Bridge. Visit the breathtaking Nohkalikai Falls and the stunning Seven Sisters Falls. Explore the natural wonders of Arwah Caves and Mawsmai Caves, both rich with intriguing formations and for a more adventurous experience, trek to the captivating Rainbow Falls. Overnight stay at Cherrapunji.
Day 4 : Drive to Mawlynnong and Stay at Dawki
We’ll have an early breakfast, after that uncover the hidden beauty of the "100 Waterfalls," a stunning natural wonder surrounded by lush greenery. Visit Shnongpdeng Village and Mawlynnong Village, and marvel at the iconic Shnongpdeng Bridge. Explore the breathtaking Umngot River, famous for its crystal-clear waters, and enjoy a peaceful boat ride. End your day with a cozy bonfire and a delicious barbecue, then relax in well-appointed camps, indulging in a sumptuous dinner. Overnight at the campsite in Dawki.
Day 5 : Dawki to Shillong
Begin your day with a delightful breakfast before departing Dawki and driving back to Shillong. Along the way, explore the enchanting Phe Phe Waterfall, where you can admire diverse plant species and spot local wildlife. Stop at the India-Bangladesh Border for a unique cultural experience, then visit the breathtaking Krang Suri Falls. Conclude your day with a comfortable overnight stay in a hotel at Shillong.
Day 6 : Shillong to Guwahati
Post breakfast, the group will drive from Shillong to Guwahati. On reaching Guwahati, you can head back home according to your own convenience.
