Detailed Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrive in Manali (2050m)
Orientation Session, Manali Exploration
On reaching the base camp, you can spend the time at your own leisure. You can also explore the interesting lanes of Old Manali, where the hippy cafes and bustling alleyways will give your liberating vibes. You must explore the diverse food variety available there, it is really scrumptious in terms of taste and variety. Later, a small briefing will be given by the trek leader. Stay overnight at the campsite.
Day 02: Manali - Prini - Sethan Village (2700m)
Distance/Duration: 30 Minute Drive / 3 Hour Trek
Grade: Moderate
Today morning, you will start the trek towards Sethan Village. Have your breakfast at the campsite to recharge your batteries for what’s coming ahead. At first, you will drive to Prini which should take no more than half an hour. After arriving in Prini, you will start trekking towards Sethan, which should take around 3-4 hours. You will come across the beautiful terrain of the green forest but during the winters, you will see nothing but white. The valley is totally covered in snow during the winters and the lucky ones may even get to see fresh snowfall. After reaching Sethan, you will be thrilled to see the massive Dhauladhar ranges and the gushing river Beas flowing along the valley. You must explore this beautiful village after resting for some time at the guest house/campsite. Later, have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 03: Sethan Village - Chika (3080m) - Sethan
Duration: 4-5 Hours
Grade: Moderate
Rise and shine as it is going to be an exciting day of trekking. Post breakfast, you will start trekking Chika, nestled in Hampta Valley. Make sure you’re carrying all the essentials as today will be a proper snow trek. We will trek on a snow trail till the point it is doable. You must carry your cameras as you will be passing through Kullu valley on one side and the stark opposite cold desert valley of Lahaul on the other. After you have reached and enjoyed the snow trek, you will trek back on the same route. On arrival at the campsite, you will be served with hot and steamy dinner along with the warmth of the bonfire. Stay overnight.
Day 04: Sethan Village - Prini - Old Manali
Duration: 2-3 Hours
Grade: Easy
Today as soon as the sun peeps, after breakfast you will trek back to Prini. On reaching, you can spend the rest of the time at your own leisure and depart from Manali according to your scheduled flight or train.
