Nestled at a lofty elevation of 5,890 feet, Kotagiri is a beautiful quaint hill station hidden behind the Nilgiri range. The trek will begin from the tea estate and will continue down the gorge till the end at Mettupalayam - Kotagiri junction. Day 0: Arrival at the pick-up point | Drive to Base
Assemble at the pick-up spot at scheduled time, given by your trip leader. You will board the bus, and will be transferred to the base. Day 1: Arrival at the base | Trek to Kotagiri
On reaching the base, keep your luggage in your pre-booked room. Get freshened up and head-out to have breakfast, post which embark your trek. Assemble at the meeting point, and get introduced to other trekkers. Your trek leader will give you a brief orientation about the trek, listen carefully and abide by it throughout the trek. One important thing to remember is do not litter while you are on the trek, keep the trash in a portable dustbin and throw it later.
Enroute on your trek to Kotagiri, you will come across various type of vegetation and stunning waterfalls. You will have your lunch on the way. Day 2: Depart for Bangalore via Catherine Falls
Today morning, wake to the serene surroundings. After relishing your breakfast, you will depart for Bangalore via Catherine falls. You can carry self-sponsored packed lunch to have on the way.
