ITINERARY:

Day 01: Leh
Arrive at Leh airport on your own and get transferred to the hotel. Spend first half of the day resting and get acclimatized. After lunch leave for local sightseeing in Leh. Visit the Leh Palace which has one of the most fascinating architectural ruins. Don’t forget to visit the uppermost rooftop for an amazing view of the valley! Continue to visit the Shanti Stupa which looks beautiful during night when illuminated. Indulge in shopping at the local Leh market and buy the famous Ladakhi shawls. Spend the night in Leh.

Day 02: Leh Sightseeing
Wake up amidst the Himalayas and witness a mesmerising sunrise. Have breakfast and leave to visit some of the popular spots in Ladakh. Hemis Gompa is said to be the wealthiest monastery in Leh. The picturesque monastery is located on the hill surrounded by splendid mountains. Continue to visit Thiksey Gompa, one of the beautiful monasteries in Leh and in the last visit the Shey Palace, which was once the summer capital of Ladakh. Stay overnight in Leh.

Day 03: Likir Monastery - Yangthang (4 - 5 hours)
After breakfast drive to Likir which is at a distance of 58 KMS from Leh, and is the starting point of your trek. The trail is wide open and without any shade or water. On the way you will pass Phobe La and Chagaste La, and then reach Yangthang Village. Spend the night in a homestay at the village.

Day 04: Yangthang to Hemis Shukpachan across Tsermang Chen La (3 - 4 Hours)
Start your trek with a few descents, and crossing a stream before the final climb to Hemis Shukpachan. The village is named after groves of cedar. You will love the vistas around here with glittering streams, rocky mountains and a little bit of greenery! Spend the night at a homestay.

Day 05: Hemis Shukpachan to Ang across Mebtak La (3 Hours)
On this day we trek to Mebtak La which is a 10 KMS easy trail upwards. You will know you have reached the destination when you see the prayer flags fluttering across. Our destination for the day is the beautiful village of Ang with apricot orchards, and this is where we stay overnight at a homestay.

Day 06: Leh
Today we descend to the starting point and drive to Zanskar River. Here we will indulge in another adventure activity that will get our adrenaline pumping - River Rafting from Shorpochay to Sangam. After this thrilling adventure, we drive to Leh and stay overnight.

Day 07: Leh- Pangong Tso- Leh
Next day we drive early morning to the enchanting and ever-beautiful Pangong Tso! The drive is through the picturesque Chang La said to be the third highest motor-able road in the world. Don’t forget to take your camera to capture the picture perfect lake. Return to Leh and stay overnight.
