All those who love travel, adventure and the outdoors would tell you that travel is more than just seeing new places. It is also about having new experiences, and on many occasions, rejuvenating your soul. When it comes to exploring the great outdoors, Himalayas top the list of every adventure seeker. Whether it is trekking, hiking, mountaineering, camping or rafting, Himalayas offer it all. Additionally, and more importantly, what Himalayas offer is the ultimate solace to the weary traveller.
In the lap of the Himalayas, if there is one place that is considered to be a haven for trekkers and backpackers, it is Parvati Valley in Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh. At a convenient distance of 58 KMs from the town of Bhuntar (that houses the Bhuntar Airport), Parvati Valley is enchantingly beautiful. With the pristine waters of the Parvati River gushing by, verdant meadows, snow-capped peaks for backdrop, and the peaceful village walks, this place is like a fairy tale come alive. It is a lush green valley that offers magical views of the Pir Panjal Range, which is also one of the largest Himalayan Ranges. In addition to all this, Parvati Valley is also home to some of the most exciting Himalayan Treks like the Pin Parvati Pass Trek , Sar Pass Trek, Malana Chanderkhani Pass Trek, Naggar to Manali Snow Trek and more. It is here in this picturesque valley that we offer the Parvati Valley Trek that takes you from the quaint little town of Kasol to Kheerganga and Malana over a period of 4 days.
When travelling to any place so close to and amidst nature, like the Parvati Valley, it is extremely important to understand that the people and the communities that live here have limited means and resources, in addition to the degradation in biodiversity of the place, due to excessive human activity and climate change. Thus, it becomes our responsibility to travel in ways that support the environment, create awareness about eco-tourism, and also contribute to the good of the community. Through this trek we aim at working closely with the local communities for their development through issues related to the environment and livelihood. A portion of what our trekkers pay for this trip would go towards implementing specific interventions in the region. Be it utilizing Solar Power, or demonstrating water filtering techniques or fuel efficient cooking stoves, we will be working on one initiative or the other. We would also encourage all our travellers to carry their own water bottles and cutlery, to minimize and eventually diminish the use of plastic/disposable items.
Trekkers would also get the rare opportunity to interact with the local populace of these villages, which would further educate them about their living conditions, routine, traditions, and also interesting local stories! Parvati Valley Trek is not to be missed! It will be the most enjoyable, thrilling and also fulfilling experience for all nature and adventure lovers.
