A wildlife Safari at Pench National Park is something you would not like to miss, if you are in Madhya Pradesh. The place is located in Chhindwara and Seoni districts in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Famous for adventurous water rafting and wildlife safari, this park was established as a sanctuary in the year 1975, and later it was declared as the area for tiger reserves. It is bordered by the state of Maharashtra, as it situated in the southern part of Madhya Pradesh. Much of the territory lies in the Satpura Ranges of Central India. The glorious history of the famous tiger reserve at Pench can be seen through Ain-e-Akbari, which contains details of the life of Akbar, the Great. The book also displays the richness of wide variety of flora and fauna of this tiger reserve at that time. The meandering Pench River increases its richness of biodiversity, especially aquatic animals in this area. The park is a mixed jungle, which comprises shrubs, herbs, climbers and extravagant trees as well.

It is home to more than 164 species of birds, 50 species of aquatic animals, especially fish, and 30 species of mammals and reptiles. The place is also home to different kinds of birds. It also hosts migratory birds like vultures, white-eyed buzzards and grey-headed eagles. Wild animals like leopard, sloth bears, jackals, barking deer and four-horned antelopes can be seen easily here. The area has many streams that flow through it, and they support tigers and other wild animals when after Pench River dries up. Stretched in the area of 758 sq km, the southern part of the reserve is fully covered with thick deciduous forests and marshy lands. According to a research, done in the year 2005, the population of tigers here was approximately 45, which was more than many other reserve of India.

A wildlife Safari at Pench will prove to be an exhilarating experience for you and you should definitely try it out. The journey will be on a 4X4 Jeep, which is capable of negotiating rough and hilly terrain. For your own safety and ease of travelling through the reserve, you will not be allowed to enter it during the rainy season. Monsoons leave the swamps, overflowing with water, and damage the roads inside the territory. You must take loads of photographs to cherish your memories later.

Itinerary:

Day-1: Arrival at Pench Reserve & Safari​

On arrival at Nagpur station/airport, you will meet a representative of Adventure Nation, who will transfer you to Pench Reserve via Priavte AC Transport. On reaching, check-in at the hotel, and keep your belongings. After resting for a while, and a post lunch, head-out for an afternoon safari. Take the tour of the reserve and get introduced to variety of flora and fauna found here. In the evening, get back to the hotel to have tea and little snacks. Relax for rest of the time or you can also watch informative slideshow/documentary on the wildlife of Pench. At night, take pleasure in the tasty dinner, post which share awesome and experience of Safaris.

Day 2 : Safari at Khursapar Gate & Turia Gate​

Today wake up to the bright morning and leave for safari early in the morning to catch a magnificent spectacle of some wild animals. You will take a safari of Khursapar gate, where the chances of spotting a tiger is good. You will also come across various other species of birds, animals and plants. Click pictures, then head back to the hotel to get freshen up and then have breakfast. Relax within natural environment, spend time with your friends or family. At the break of the day, leave for afternoon safari at Turia gate after lunch. Carry your cameras, binoculars, water-bottle, sunscreen and a scarf to avoid dust. In the evening, get back to the hotel, and relish your snacks with a cup of tea. At night, indulge in a tasty meal and relax for a while 

Day 3 : Early Morning Safari & Check-out 

Today morning, you will leave for early safari and explore the left out regions of the Pench reserve. Click pictures of sunrise, various plants and animals. Then return back to hotel to freshen up and then proceed to check-out from the hotel. You will leave for Nagpur station/ Airport via private vehicle. You will have lunch on the way to the station/airport. On reaching, board your train or flight as per your requirement. Next day, in the morning you will reach your home city.
